Looking for NW Georgia Mooney Partnership

I’m looking for a capital partnership in NW Georgia. I’m open to new acquisitions with even stakes or buying a minority share. All options are on the table.

I’ve mostly been looking at J’s and K’s but everything that floats my boat, sinks my bank account. I’m thinking it’s time to find someone else to share the pain with. 

In order of personal preference, based solely on commute time to airport, desired home bases are:

KCNI Canton - Cherokee County

KVPC Cartersville - Bartow County

RYY McCollum - Cobb County

CZL Calhoun - Gordon County

JZP Jasper - Pickens County

I’m on everyone’s hangar waiting list, but you know how that goes.

Target buy-in of $100-$150 should net a nice bird.

Did you find an airplane or partner?  I am looking for a late 70's to mid 80's M-K model (will be first time aircraft owner) as well.  I live close to KCNI.  Corporate pilot and just my wife and I (sons are in college). Andrew

Neither. Very difficult to stomach the prices being paid right now. Also no hangers anywhere around here. KCNI has a 10-15 year wait. There’s a 252 in TX I keep looking at but at $175…

Wow, didnt know the wait was so so so loooong.  252 is sweet, but too rich for my wallet.  Need to find something I can actually afford to fly once I buy it.

We bought a 1999 Ovation plan to keep it Cha.  Looking for a third partner. It is getting an engine overhaul presently. We also are on 

waiting list for hanger.  Hopefully Dallas Bay will reopen and it can live there. Feel free to call 423-322-3971

Hanger space is ridiculous here in central Texas too.  Last summer I put my name on my 4 most local airports..20 minutes to almost an hour drive.  A few weeks ago I checked those lists for movement..  Zero movement.  They estimate 4 years wait but they also say they just don’t know.  So, I expanded my search out to my west which is more sparsely populated.  Approximately a 1.25 hour drive.  Crazy.  Why aren’t they building more space?
