1964-M20E Posted November 1, 2020 Report Posted November 1, 2020 Well we finally got one here in New Orleans after being in the cone 7 times this year. I was directly in the eye. The hangar and the plane are fine. Slightly more issues and minor damage at the house. Power is still out and running on generator. Heard reports of several planes being damaged at KNEW and KASD. Hank Posted November 1, 2020 Report Posted November 1, 2020 Glad you're OK, John! That mess came through here, too [I think it was the third one this year]; trees are down but I've not heard of much structural damage. Our power was out ~48 hours at home, but work two counties east was unaffected; others are still out since Wednesday evening. Quote
Missile=Awesome Posted November 1, 2020 Report Posted November 1, 2020 Sorry for damage to your home and loss of power. We lost power for over a week with Derecho that hit 8/10 in Iowa. We also lost cell service for a week. The sense of isolation is profound. We sustained over $25k in home damage. Siding getting repaired today. I wish you and friends, neighbors, city/state well as you recover. Trucks are still hauling downed trees/debris from our storm nearly three months later Quote
carusoam Posted November 1, 2020 Report Posted November 1, 2020 Thanks for checking in John... it is good to hear from everyone after such a weather event. Good luck with the next steps of the recovery phase. Best regards, -a- 1 Quote
