PDK's annual event to welcome the surrounding neighborhoods and than them for participating to keep PDK one of the most vibrant GA airports in the country.  The Ambassadors will be on display to talk about our Mooney Airplane Company and to promote GA to the flying and non-flying public. Porterville AirFaire June 11, 2011 [KPVT]: The Eagle Mountain Airshow held it's first event in June of 2008. Named after the primary sponsor, Eagle Mountain Casino, the event was a great success. Two more events followed, and we ae excited to have the opportunity to present our fourth event June, 2011. The name of the event was changed to reflect the fact that this is a community event, and we could not have made it to this point without the help of businesses and community organizations, that have made this such a wonderful success!The Mooney Ambassadors displayed last year. We had four big Mooneys and four Mooney Mites. We camped in the campground and had a wonderful time.

Father's Day Fly-In, Columbia CA O22, June 17-19, 2011: The Mooney Ambassadors attended the 2010 annual Father's Day Fly-In in beautiful Columbia California. Nestled in the foothills of the Sierras, Columbia offers two runways, one asphalt and one grass, as well as a lovely campground. 13 Ambassadors came through over the two day event and helped spread the word about Mooney Airplane Company, and promoted General Aviation. Father's Day Fly-In, Summer Solstace /Cooking Lake Airport (Canada), June 17-19, 2011.  This is Ambassador Russ Anderson's annual party. If you are in Canada or headed up to the great white north, check out this great airport and fun party. Anybody planning on attending the Cooking Lake party on June 18th can RSVP to Russ at russkar@lara.on.ca  He will provide shuttle from airport to my acreage ( about a 3 minute ride) for the main party. Pickup can be arranged by email in advance if have the ETA or by calling 780-922-6017 upon arrival.

June 24-26, 2011 Wings to Walla Walla KALW
There are walking tours of downtown, art galleries, museums, historic Whitman Mission, farms, antiques, golf, birding, biking, and lots of other things to do in Walla Walla. BRING TIE-DOWNS. The FBO may not have enough for the number of planes that we expect. We'll have a greeter at the airport to get you oriented. Oceano Airport Celebration, May 11-12th.  L52, Oceano, California
Friday May 11th:  Beach Burger Fry and Dance.  We have tickets for sale for the Beach Burger Fry and Dance on May 11th from 5:30 to 9:30. The $10 ticket buys dinner and the dance. The music will be provided by The San Luis Jazz Band. This is a fun opportunity to see the best dance band in Central California. [Front man is an Ovation Pilot too!]

Saturday May 12th: Oceano Airport Celebration Day 2012. Air Faire KPVT.  This years event includes aircraft displays, hot air balloons, a kids area, pilot participation events, classic car displays, local vendors and of course, incredible aerobatics! There will be something for the whole family. Last year we won the More the Merrier award, as well as the speed trial, and the flour bombing contest.  Camping available.  Point Person: Jolie Lucas

June 16-17th Columbia Ca. Father's Day Fly-In. 022 46th Annual event.  The fun begins with a traditional Father's Day Pancake Breakfast from 7:00 to 11:00 am on both days. The entire family will enjoy seeing the Experimental, Classic and Warbird aircraft, along with airplane and biplane rides, aviation vendor booths, food and beverage booths, CDF aircraft and demonstrations, aircraft fly-bys, a Saturday night BBQ and more! Activities will also include a spot landing and flour bombing contest. Don't miss this year's event, it promises to be fun for everyone!  Last year we won the flour bombing and the spot landing contests.  Camping available.  Point Person: Mitch Latting

June 22-24th: Indianapolis Air Show.  We were asked again this year  for our Mooney Ambassador display. They were just awarded the 2011 Air Show of the Year award last week at the International Council of Air Shows and this year they'll be featuring the Thunderbirds.  We anticipate we'll get space for 4-5 aircraft on the ramp and there is parking outside the display for others if we exceed this. Should be a great event for us again this year! There is a commitment to display Friday through Sunday due to the size of the venue.  There is a lodging discount available and entry to the show is complimentary.  Point Person: Jim Elswick

July 21st, 2012:Marks the date for the 5th annual Princeton
International Air Show. This years show, "A Salute to Warbirds" will feature a number of iconic Second World War airplanes along side modern air force aircraft. Vintage general and passenger aircraft, search and rescue demonstrations, air force trainers, aerobatics, lots of pyrotechnics, some surprises and lots more make this event a must see in 2012.

What an incredible day for our fly ins and our Mooney Ambassadors. Beautiful warm summer day in Princeton and the Similkameen Valley, incredible scenery, lots of camaraderie and one heck of a show. Fly ins are encouraged to pre-register (registration will commence in May) Registration provides you with admission, access to the air conditioned terminal building and a light lunch; all for only $10 per person. August 24-26th, 2012  KTVL South Lake Tahoe, Lake in the Sky Airshow
Join us at Lake Tahoe in 2012 for the 23rd year celebration of America's High Altitude Air Show. The Mooney Ambassadors are the only type club that has specifically been invited by the event administration for the past several years. We had 22 airplanes in 2009, 14 in 2010, 24 in 2011 how many are coming in 2012?  Friday night dinner is a salute to Veterans who have served or are serving our country. Saturday is the big day, and we expect upwards of 11,000 visitors.  There is an opportunity for six Mooney Ambassadors to take place in the air show by doing high-speed passes.  We typically get a nice hotel rate and car rental rate for this event.  Point Persons: Michael Golden

September 22, 2012  Fullerton Airport Day, KFUL, California.  This is a great old-fashioned fly-in day!  Of course it helps to be in the LA basin for lots of fun activities after the airport day is over.  A $1.50 bus ride from the airport gets you to the front gate of Disneyland. Saturday, May 12th, KPDK, Peachtree/DeKalb, Atlanta, GA Good Neighbor Day
Our static display line will be second to none. Attractions include a generous supply of restored antique planes, World War II warriors including the Berlin airlift museum (C-54), Tinker Belle (C-45), Commemorative Air Force airplanes including the P-51, P-47, TBM Avenger, and the British Sea Fury. Aircraft currently in the military inventory include the A-10, F/A-18, C-130 and H-53. Additionally DeKalb’s own fire trucks, police vehicles, ambulances, and helicopters galore. Visitors may view booths and exhibits in the Epps Hangar, and buy food and soft drinks from Briarlake Baptist Church. Food will also be available in the on-site restaurant, The Downwind, located in the Administration Building. There will also be plenty of play activities for children provided by Jump 'N Slide. There is no admission fee to Good Neighbor Day; parking is $5.00 per vehicle regardless of the number of occupants. May 11-13: Valdez, AK annual fly-in where some bush pilots push the limits of short take off and landings.  Also a couple of other events like flour bombing accuracy.

It is only a day's hop out of Seattle if the weather is nice.

Mitch and I are flying to Calaveras this weekend for their cool little hometown airport day. The venue is pretty small, they could only guarantee us one spot for Maggie and our canopy.  But if there are other Ambassadors who are looking for a fun time come join us early on Saturday.

What a fun fun day.  Had a total of six Mooneys join us.  The temperature was in the high 80s, so our canopy was popular.

Lots of folks looking at the Mooneys and reading the information and prop tags.  Took the opportunity to get about 15 or so kids in the plane, talked about the control systems and let parents take photos and video.  I was even interviewed for television [local] which was fun.

About 100 aircraft came in.  What a great community event. Not fancy, just fun.  Next stop...Oceano.  How many Mooneys will join us at the beach??

November 3rd, LoPresti Aviation First Saturday Mooney Style:  Mooney themed First Saturday set for November 3rd. They will have both on and off airport activities in Sebastian, FL.
