The app shows the Mooney Forum at 11:00 on Monday.

Can we confirm the actual time?

EDIT:

The EAA website says 10:00.  Maybe the App is kinda wonky?  It has been 10:00 the past few years, that's probably it.

Since you are in Michigan, the app may be showing Eastern time. Apps are now smart like that . . . . .

From the Caravan site:

Wednesday, July 26 - Oshkosh, WI

18:00    Formation Safety Stand-Down  All participants pitch in and we get pizza and drinks.  We will spend an hour in a round table interactive discussion addressing the finer points of being wingman and lead pilots.  Then off to the night air show starting at 20:00.

Just thinking out loud here... is there anyone NOT flying in the Caravan that would like to go to the announcer's stand and be interviewed about the Caravan?  You would need to have knowledge of the Mooney Caravan and some fun facts, and be an all-around great person.

  • Did I understand that the Maxwells are not going to KOSH this year?
  • Is MAPA not going either?
  • @Sabremech volunteers and I'm pretty sure he will be there before our arrival...
  • What about Richard Simile?
  • Or someone else with Mooney International?

Sadly, Aspen always has a nice event at KOSH (with FOOD) for its customers and it will conflict with this nice Caravan event (with FOOD). :(

OK dumb question as I should probably know this-

Is the Caravan BBQ open to pay as you go if one in not flying in on the caravan?

We have plans that evening but if they fall through it would be nice to meet and greet all of the participants.

Actually we're meeting up with a couple of Mooney people all the way from down under, AU.

Caravan BBQ deadline for tickets has passed I believe, so there will be no guarantee for food if you didn't buy a ticket in advance. Fellowship is likely free, though!

Don and Jan Maxwell are taking a year off to enjoy their new granddaughter.  MAPA will not be coming to OSH this year.  Mooney will have one airplane on display and I believe the M10 mock up.  One of the Ultras will also be delivered to a customer.

I plan to arrive on Saturday. Send me a list of scripted Q & A's and I'm all over it.

Don and Jan not going is one thing (and for a good reason), but what is the justification for MAPA not going this year?

I am not sure Greg, about MAPA. I just know that we will have some great activities and will be flying the Mooney flag.

Just so you know, three Mooney Caravan participants will be playing in the EAA Concert Band at Oshkosh. Don Kaye [Professor], Buttercup and John Baker [yet to be named!] Afternoon airshow on Tuesday July 25th [1:45 p.m.] and full concert on Wednesday night, July 26th at 5:00 p.m. Theatre in the Woods. I am practicing music and getting ready. Would mean a lot to have our fellow Mooney lovers come if possible!
