201er Posted December 28, 2016 Report Posted December 28, 2016 We enjoyed some wonderful flying on Christmas day. It's one of my favorite days to fly because there are so few planes in the sky and you have the air all to yourself. Anyone else go flying on xmas? 13 Quote
ThorFlight Posted December 28, 2016 Report Posted December 28, 2016 Good for you and what a lovely evening in NYC! Did you actually have the corridor to yourself? 1 Quote

TWinter Posted December 28, 2016 Report Posted December 28, 2016 We flew, but unfortunately it was a balmy 75 outside and the view was of Tennessee cornfields. My house to my folks, a short 20 minute hop. -Tom 2 Quote
Hank Posted December 28, 2016 Report Posted December 28, 2016 (edited) I took my nephew up on Christmas Eve to do some flightseeing. Sorry, can't rotate the photo on my phone. Edited December 28, 2016 by Hank 1 Quote
carusoam Posted December 28, 2016 Report Posted December 28, 2016 Hours in the car 24&25th. Setting goals for next year! Best regards, -a- 1 Quote
rainman Posted December 28, 2016 Report Posted December 28, 2016 Mike, nice video and music. I flew from Albuquerque to San Antonio Christmas Day. Couldn't go up high because we had our dog in the plane, and she still won't wear her oxygen mask! Bumpy and strong headwinds, but still way better than a 12 hour car trip. Quote
XXX Posted December 28, 2016 Report Posted December 28, 2016 Mike, is that a new 'stache you're sporting? Nice video, flew to Jacksonville and back Christmas Eve to retrieve my son. Quote
MHemperly Posted December 28, 2016 Report Posted December 28, 2016 Awesome Mike! I'd love to fly that corridor if I ever make it to the east coast! The wife, baby, dog and I flew from KAJO-KWJF to go see family. 30 min flight beats 2.5 in the car! Happy new year! Mike Quote

Danb Posted December 28, 2016 Report Posted December 28, 2016 Christmas eve-eve, beautiful looking down at the traffic, idiots in the Malls, people hustling about, forgetting just what christmas is all about, we have a wonderful gift "the freedom of flight", only thing missing was snow. I was surprised to see that mass had fewer people than past years. 1 Quote

Skates97 Posted December 28, 2016 Report Posted December 28, 2016 Didn't do any flying, I still need to finish my transition training... But we did take the kids and grandkids out to see the plane. Two of the grandkids loved "flying" the plane. Tried to get the other one to sit in the plane with me, she wasn't a fan. Obligatory photo with the grandkids in front of the plane at the request of my wife. Next year we can just go fly to visit them. 4 Quote

flyboy0681 Posted December 29, 2016 Report Posted December 29, 2016 Take it in while you can Mike. You have three weeks before a four to eight year TFR goes into effect. Quote
