Hank Posted July 29, 2015 Report Posted July 29, 2015 Used to, I could click on the Quote button and the desired text would show up in the Quick Post box so that I could append my comments in a way that would make sense if there were intervening threads. It no longer works this way with IE, and no, I'm not using Winders 10. Here at home, I'm on either 8 or 8.1; my work PC uses Winders 7 with the same no-quote function. On my ipad [hard to do while eating a bowl of cereal], it still works, but not on my Winders boxes. Any idea what's going on there??? Thanks, ya'll. Quote
Mooneymite Posted July 29, 2015 Report Posted July 29, 2015 Hank, that happens to me on computers that are set up in the incognito mode. I find this in some FBO's that are for public use. Quote

I think that condition is called NOTAMAC, can't recall what the acronym expands to.. 1 Quote
N201MKTurbo Posted July 29, 2015 Report Posted July 29, 2015 With IE go to the tools icon and select "Compatibility View Settings". Add Mooneyspace.com to the list and select "Display internet sites in compatibility view" Then shut down IE and restart it. Quote

I use Chrome, Firefox mostly with no problem using quote. (FlyGarmin data updates now only works with IE.) I haven't found a way to quote on Tapatalk on Android smart phone but I haven't look very hard. Quote

When I escape from the couch and the dog, I'll go give it a try. Quote

DonMuncy Posted July 30, 2015 Report Posted July 30, 2015 N201MKTurbo, Apparently I still need help in quoting. I did as you suggested and the "compatibility view" said mooneyspace was covered. I then went to your post, selected and highlighted your post. Then hit quote. The box underneath popped open. I added a test message and hit post. You can see from the above, it sent the quote, but not my message. What am I doing wrong? Quote

DonMuncy Posted July 30, 2015 Report Posted July 30, 2015 No, I'm stuck with my own ineptitude. Quote
Bob_Belville Posted July 30, 2015 Report Posted July 30, 2015 No, I'm stuck with my own ineptitude. Don, when I quote I do not highlight text. I just hit quote on the message I'm quoting and type my reply. (If I want to use only part of the original msg I delete unneeded text after starting my post.) Don't know if that will make a difference... 1 Quote

Don, put the cursor on Tools up at the top, but don't click. Compatibility View Settings is about halfway down the list, you should click on it. Then follow the rest of 1MK's instructions. It's great to be back again! Quote
