FloridaMan Posted April 22, 2015 Report Posted April 22, 2015 My registration is due for renewal by the end of june and I have not received a notice for it yet. I think it's important to get this resolved. Anybody know how to go about renewing a registration without the renewal code? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
cbarry Posted April 22, 2015 Report Posted April 22, 2015 You might try giving a call to the FAA: Aircraft Certification 1-866-762-9434 2 Quote
carusoam Posted April 22, 2015 Report Posted April 22, 2015 Or start here.... https://www.faa.gov/licenses_certificates/aircraft_certification/aircraft_registry/register_aircraft/ Best regards, -a- Quote
TTaylor Posted April 22, 2015 Report Posted April 22, 2015 I have an aircraft due in June as well and have not seen a notice as well. Wonder if there are issues at the FAA? Quote
MyNameIsNobody Posted April 22, 2015 Report Posted April 22, 2015 Mine is September. Received a card in the mail with code. Went on line. Took ten minutes. PAID ONLINE WITH CC. $5 BUCKS. Received registration in bout 5 days. Done. Quote
Hank Posted April 22, 2015 Report Posted April 22, 2015 The online system works well, but for those of us who have moved / are moving, we must mail in the printed paper form with a paper $5 check, and wait for it to work its way through the system. Right now they are processing pieces of paper they received just over two weeks ago, with expectations of several business days to process, plus mailing time. Oh, the joys of government efficiency! 1 Quote

TTaylor Posted April 22, 2015 Report Posted April 22, 2015 Since we have not received a postcard or letter with a code we must print out Form 8050-1B, fill it out, and send in the money. Glad the FAA is making our lives easier again, not! No explanation other than blaming the post office for not receiving a renewal notice. Quote
1964-M20E Posted April 23, 2015 Report Posted April 23, 2015 Mine is in November but it was even easier the old way when your registration did not expire. All for the perception of safety. Quote

I wish I could believe they were even close to that efficient. I bought my plane Jan 1st and I'm still waiting for registration. Quote
FloridaMan Posted April 23, 2015 Author Report Posted April 23, 2015 ^ That doesn't sound right at all. Mine took around a month. Quote
StinkBug Posted April 24, 2015 Report Posted April 24, 2015 It's a long story, but the short version is I have been in contact with them several times, and they are just slow as *$%# Quote
