I got a chance to take the same reporter that covered the loss of one of our 172s, up for a ride in our new to us LSA.

He got most of the story right and was a great passenger. Why is this reporter so interested in helping boost GA when he has never taken a flight lesson? His college room mate took flying lessons and shared his excitement with all around him.

We're currently in a growth mode as we had 77 members in November and now were up to 85. We added a lsa, and SR22 to the existing fleet of archers and warriors. The additions have really helped us cover the needs of most.

I really wanted to put a 201/MSE or ovation in the fleet, instead of the Cirrus, but just didn't have the support. Boy is that a expensive plane to take care off.

Enjoy,

Aaron

i watched the video - that was actually pretty good reporting - I think the reporter has the bug and will be a pilot soon.  Always nice to see a poisitive aviation news piece.

The Cirrus is expensive to take care of?

Ya lots of little issues.  Its a 2005 Generation 2 with 1500Total time and it seems like there is always something going on with it.  From the issues with the avionics to wind leak at door seal, to overhead lighting not working ect.

I have a meeting next week and can get a update.

Its a nice new modern plane, not as efficient or fast as the Mooney but a nice plane.  I don't know all the specifics but there is lots of S.B.s to comply with too, which are optional of course.  Again not a expert, and I'd have to look though the invoices (which are off site) but more than one would think.
