Looking at the spec for the Old O&M Bladder caps, they are used on Citations, and other hgh altitude aircraft and I bet have a much lower operating temp than the black nitrile ones that us "low boys" use. Cold temps and O rings do not go well together (shuttle disaster). I'l post a picture of my new caps when I go to the airport sometime today.

I'm glad I was able to pick up a spare NOS Shaw 457-370 fuel cap, which is what O&N installed on my Mooney four years ago, on eBay for $70 shipped a while back. Like most of the other spares I have gotten a good deal on over the years, "just in case", though, I'll probably never need it.

I just picked up a 50$ "Jim's phantom spare" Shaw 457-370 fuel cap today. I will put it in the same box with my other phantom spares, such as that trim switch, KN61 DME box, panel switches, fuel pump switch, etc.

Here's the pictures of my NEW O&N Caps. Now you can see why the gas capacity is MORE than original 27.4 gal / side. They are not as flush as orignials so you can put more gas in per side.
