Hi All,

I'm about to purchase a M20C that will be based out of KDTO in Denton, Texas.  Does anyone know if a good CFI in the area that could provide transition training?

Thanks,

Gary

Jerry Johnson is who I asked when transitioning fom an F model to an S model recently and I was very pleased.  He is a true professional.  He is based out of Denton and you can find him on Mooneysafety.com

Are you sure we are talking about the same guy. The Jerry Johnson I am aware of is in Westlake (or at least he was when I last flew iwth him in January). He has been there a long time, and I would not have guessed he would pull up stakes. However, I am subject to error on occasion.

I contacted Ralph Semb with Mooney Safety and he said that he's in San Antonio.  Not sure if he still leaves in Westlake or not.  I'll let you know when I hear from Jerry.

Jerry is worth tracking down. He flies a 69 C, and was my PPP instructor when I first bought my own C. He was very patient with me as a low-time pilot, too [i hit 100 hours enroute to the class]. Good guy, very knowledgable. He will do you right.
