Why are the ads popping up all over the place?

Hope your are getting the good ones I’m seeing… !   

 

Every now and then…

Somebody in the home office at MS runs the membership program….

This confirms who has paid their annual dues… and who is going to see sexy new ads… and plane junk ads….  
 

You can probably confirm that it’s been a while since you sent a small part of an AMU….

Or, while paying electronically… it will probably tell you it’s been a year since that last payment went out….

 

To get the ball rolling…

There is a donate button at the bottom of some pages…

If you don’t see it… find the ‘home’ button…. Then at the bottom of that page, it will be there…

 

PP thoughts only…. The ads are making it hard to find some important buttons…

Nope. I’m a donating member and I donated again. Seemed to make the ads worse.

I donated recently to turn off the adverts, and it was pretty quick -- a few days.

Note that donations are processed manually.  It can take up to 24 hours until I am able to set the membership level on your account after you donate.  During the day it will rarely take more than 6 hours.  It looks like your donation came in overnight Schllc and I upgraded you about 30 minutes ago.  I am guessing you don't see ads anymore?

Me too on seeing ads, seems it’s been forever, but I’ve  not mentioned it till this thread popped up.

Hmmm, not a biggie....... lots worse things can happen in life....... like stale air in all my car tires.

Looks like there may be two types of ads…

One goes away quickly… the kind that interferes with my favorite button placement….

The other took a few more hours…. Ads at the bottom of the page that are easy to ignore…

As much as the little ad things don't bother me, I finally have noticed [late to the party], the ads only appear on MS when I access from my old antique iphone 6S, not on home home PC.   Again, not a biggie at all.

Mine is fixed after a donation.
