Immelman Posted November 6, 2021 Report Posted November 6, 2021 (edited) Considering this headset primarily for work-use in turbojet aircraft where it is designed.... But I sure could use another decent set for GA flying. Has anyone flown with a Bose Proflight/Proflight 2 in their MOONEY and have their ears live to hear another day? Seriously, would these work for us? One big issue in our airplanes is now noisy they are. Edited November 6, 2021 by Immelman Quote
Oscar Avalle Posted November 6, 2021 Report Posted November 6, 2021 I use them. They work well. I like them. They are comfortable. Now are they as good as the A20? May be not… but they are so much more comfortable.Oscar Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro 1 Quote

The PF2 does indeed work better in the airline world. Although the A20 cancels noise better, I’ve found they get a bit uncomfortable on long flights over about 3 hours, so I typically used the PF2 on those longer flights. Both are great in their respective environments, although I had to send my PF2 back recently under warranty repair for a bad earpiece (wiring problem) that was somehow causing my transmissions to be unreadable to nearly all ATC facilities - ground or air. Since repair, they’ve worked flawlessly. Quote
Immelman Posted November 7, 2021 Author Report Posted November 7, 2021 Thanks for the pireps! Sounds like its worth giving them a try. I still use an aging Bose X for my Mooney flying. For GA flying this new set would be to augment that for flying with my daughter. When she's on board she gets the X, I use an old lightspeed. At work I just went B737 (former A320) and will need something with ANR that is comfortable for longer flights. Quote

aviatoreb Posted November 7, 2021 Report Posted November 7, 2021 I don't know folks. My A20 is just fantastic! I mean if there might be something marginally better, I dunno (Zulu 3? Never tried) (Qt - not for me). I love my A20 every time I put it on. Its one of those pleasurable parts of flying is putting on my "I treated myself" headset. I arrive relaxed and attentive not having been beat up by a steady sound drone. They. are comfortable and I love em.
