This is a very simple, not new idea … but a nice addition to the mooney.com home page that makes clear there’s a lot of these planes flying.

This is just linked from https://mooney.com/ and points to FlightAware, but has a time parameter and a custom id in the url that I won’t try to recreate here.

Anyway, good work to the Mooney PR team. This is a nice idea.

There are a few more in the air, Flightaware only shows aircraft on IFR flight plans, 1090 ADSB transponder returns, a few VFRs squawking and talking to center, and some 978 ADSB (not many 978 receivers out there).  Still, it is fun to look at every now and then.  Most Mooneys I have ever seen in flight was about 125.

I visited the Mooney site and clicked the button only yesterday… :)

I also sent a pic to the Mooney of the Month contest…. I’m still trying to dethrown Erik’s Pi-Plane…

The Pi-Plane is an awesome Mooney.  So Awesome, it’s been Mooney of the Month for a few quarters already…

:)

Best regards,

Cool, but it's only set to show M20P model code. That's only non-turbocharged models. M20T includes all the turbo birds.

Flightaware understands wildcards.  Try M20*

I also sent a picture in case they want to go slumming in the lower letters.  I also am working the angle, anything ending in EB.

I'm not sure whether any of the Mooney marketing folks visit this site... If anyone has a contact, we should give them the wildcard option.
