Rick, have you considered spending a bit more and going with the Iridium Finewire option (URHM38S)?  Extremely well-worth the additional cost, and both the single and boxes of 12 are available now.

Looks like the Finewire prices have come down a bit in the past couple of months.  When I bought them for my lower cylinders I spent ~$80 each.  I was shocked to see them ~$130ish earlier this year...

Highly recommended but a little patience may save you a few.  Yes I know in the grand scheme of ac ownership this isn't much, but I can't help to think we're paying way more than we should.

If you're planning to keep the plane and especially if you're planning to fly LOP, go for the Tempest Fine wires - especially with a K. In the end they'll be cheaper because they last at least 1/2 of TBO and don't require the amount of maintenance massives do.

I have a box of Unison (now Tempest) URHM38E plugs I can ship today. These have been on the shelf for about 8 years. I'm cleaning out some excess inventory and I don't need these. $250 shipped.

PM me asap. or gjuber at hotmail dot com

They are worth it, be careful cleaning them and they will outlast the engine. I used to pick them clean with an awl, nothing else required, I rotated them top to bottom every cleaning.

On my IO-540 they made starts a lot faster and I could run smoothly further LOP.
