Bought SN198 ('64 model built in '63) in 1989, N1310W was totaled in July 2012 after a fuel injection blockage resulted in an off-field landing.

Say should I be envious of those squared off windows? Or do the rounded windows make my M20E Vintage with a capital V? Maybe I'll install elegant curtains! That would come after redoing the really crappy carpet.

My B model had the round windows , when it was painted last , they painted in black , the silhouette of the square windows , ... Looks just like the later Models .....

I really like the rear windows on the pre-65 models. I wish Mooney would have kept that profile.

My current F model was upgraded to the one piece rear window and they even made the rounded corner look as well so it appears to be much newer than it is.  I like it but I still like the pre-65 look.

Larry and Kim just flew their "new" M20E, SN 360, from North Florida to KSUA, Stuart FL, at 9500', 188 mph, with a fine tailwind.

Beautiful day for it, are you keeping in a t hanger or shade hanger?

Up until 2 years ago I had 6943U SN 313 three planes before yours.  It was a sweet flying plane unit Hurricane Isaac flooded it.   :(  I like the rear window in the pre-65 planes.

Welcome aboard  and enjoy. :)

Oh and you will be fine just close your eyes fill it up with fuel and fly like you stole it. :D
