Used to be hundreds every night before COVID Big business there Not too easily done via private plane (for sightseeing with the Class B airspace Quote
Parker_Woodruff Posted June 21, 2020 Report Posted June 21, 2020 Well, it looks like Don got out before the weather got sketchy here. Now he's just going slow. https://flightaware.com/live/flight/N231AT 1 Quote

Ross Taylor Posted June 21, 2020 Report Posted June 21, 2020 If you want another cool view option, not far from Vegas, you can land at Laughlin/Bullhead KIFP at night. The airport is across the river from the casinos, and roughly parallel to them. RWY 16 has a right pattern and 34 is left...so on either runway, you're basically flying over the river next to the casino lights...a mini Vegas. 2 Quote
cliffy Posted June 21, 2020 Report Posted June 21, 2020 If its a Sunday you "might" get a low pass along the Nellis runway. I got it once in an MU-2 100' down the runway looking at all the military equipment Cool pass! 1 Quote
DonMuncy Posted June 28, 2020 Author Report Posted June 28, 2020 Thanks for all the help. I went to Henderson via Las Cruces last Sunday and returned via Double Eagle today. The turbulence beat us pretty bad for 5 hours, and then when I got back to Dallas, the Sarahan dust had moved in. 4 Quote
