FF IS a blunt instrument...

But...

It is only being used for T/O and climb where the CHTs are being heated the most...

If you are still having CHT challenges during cruise... adding FF would be the wrong blunt instrument...   :)

Compare the O360 and IO360 Max FF @SL to the IO550...

The 310hp IO550 turning 2700 rpm uses 27.2 gph... (Max STC FF range) people like to bump that up to 29+gph for cooling improvement...

180/310X27.2= 15.8gph.  X29=16.8gph

Looks like additional FF would put an O360 user in the same ball park as an IO550 user with regards to cylinder cooling at WOT...

See if your proper carb mechanic can set you up with the additional FF...(?)

The downside to adding too much FF... it is possible to have too much fuel and not generating full power...

PP thoughts only, not making any recommendations...

Best regards,

Pump came back.  That was quick, but what is wrong with this picture?

Looks like an opportunity to put a length of fuel line in so that it drains overboard instead of onto the exhaust tunnel.

Pressure might be a bit high for your carburetor.

Yup--looks like a IO-360 fuel pump.  My JPI alerts at 6.1 psi--it'd melt at 23 psi.

Yep, there was a switcheroo.  Fortunately, mine didn't go out yet because they were waiting on payment by the incorrect recipient so they dropped it off at a UPS box to try to get it to me ASAP.
