"Rolls-Royce has discovered costly technical problems with a set of its engines, just weeks after it found a separate durability issue. The engine maker said the fault affected a “small number” of its  Package B Trent 1000 engines, adding to problems with its Package C Trent 1000 engines, revealed in March."

It seems that all the manufacturers have had trouble with their 100k thrust class engines. I think everyone has got a little ahead of their ski's on the class as a whole.

The  GE LEAP and Pratt Geared turbofan are also problematic. All of them had to come off the wing for major rework.
