FastTex Posted March 6, 2019 Report Posted March 6, 2019 ...speaking of pucks and with no intention of hijacking this thread...mine have been there forever (hard to read the date since they have been spray painted who knows when...). Since it's time for the annual we thought it's time to replace them. So...where's the best place to buy new pucks and rent the installation tool? Thanks! Quote
SantosDumont Posted March 6, 2019 Report Posted March 6, 2019 I replaced my when I had my first annual... my mechanic pointed out that the date stamped on them was 1967! Quote

I got them from Spruce, they were $0.50 cheaper at Chief. 1 Quote

LANCECASPER Posted March 6, 2019 Report Posted March 6, 2019 I get a discount at Aircraft Spruce which brings it down to $110.58 each, which I'm happy to pass on to anyone on Mooneyspace. 5 Quote

Ragsf15e Posted March 7, 2019 Report Posted March 7, 2019 I was blissfully oblivious of the date stamp on them until reading this thread. Checked this morning... mine say 11968. I’m guessing thats Jan 1968 on my 1968 M20F. They still seem ok. Is that possible?! There’s 11 of them, so that’s nice and expensive. Quote

I think I have a picture somewhere showing what it looks like. I’ll see if I can find it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro Quote

Anything longer may be part numbers, manufacturing codes, etc. Quote

Marauder Posted March 7, 2019 Report Posted March 7, 2019 You haven’t seen him land before! IAN201 posted his new discs in 2017. It is the 4 digits after the “M” which I think stands for Manufactured. It’s upside down but the date is January 2017. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro Quote

LANCECASPER Posted March 7, 2019 Report Posted March 7, 2019 The date stamp is not the easiest to read. Is easier if you take a picture while you're down there and then make the picture bigger. (December 2018) Quote
Ragsf15e Posted March 8, 2019 Report Posted March 8, 2019 Feeling a lot better, thanks for setting me straight! 3 07 much more better than 1 1968!! 1 Quote
