I'll be making the trip in my bird from Dallas before the end of November. I could use a ride back- any chance you can make the trip a few days earlier?  I can't go 12/1- plane turns into a pumpkin on 11/30.

afraid not, it's the only day off I have that week so I'm flying down on southwest after work on the 30th and overnighting in dallas, then driving mostly likely to GGG and flying back

Long shot, but you never know. Supposed to pick something up WX and everything else permitted. There be 2 of us.

One way rental from Enterprise, they will negotiate the one way fee off, about $35,

Amtrak, about $20 USD senior rate, about $30 non senior

AA eagle about $160

Gas and lunch for Local Mooney pilot, about .1AMU

Ill be going there on the 11th or 12th or so.

I have a reservation for Enterprise, it's a bit more though, about 120. Amtrak doesn't fit my schedule.

That's Too bad, my last 3 trips were sub $65 ea. for more than one day. Kilgore and Longview enterprise franchise is owned by the same guy, Kilgore will drop off car at Don's for you. Sorry you didn't get the better deal. Deb also got a good deal when he rented from Enterprise.

I just made a reservation online, picking up near dfw I can try and call and haggle it but I'm not sure I'll have much success. I'm picking up a plane, not dropping off.
