Tinnerman U clips.

Every annual, I end up replacing a tinnerman, or two on the doghouse.  I've just about gone through my supply of the old style tinnerman U clips.  All I can find now are the type sold by Aricraft Spruce and others which are a lot larger and thicker.  The new style leave air gaps in the top of my doghouse and I really don't like them.

Does anyone know a source for the "old style" thin tinnerman U clip nuts?

The middle picture shows the old type next to the new type.  The other two pictures are of an old style tinnerman U nut.

Mcmaster-Carr sells a fair variety of these. They have low-profile ones at http://www.mcmaster.com/#clip-on-nuts/=14om3nu

Note that they are black phosphate finished though.

The DA274-8-1 versions at Aircraft Spruce look a lot like what's in the picture.

Aircraft spruce didn't carry the tiny ones that are on the top of the dog house.

SInce I had my C I learned that you can call/email AS and they can try to source things from their suppliers that they don't have listed.
