I'm curious to know more about the airplane lift used on the Mooney.

Just a car lift he converted to a Mooney lift. I can take pics tomorrow if Don doesn't mind (I'm sure he wouldn't) and you'd like a closer look.

That lift is some much better than a creeper. 

I liked being able to see what he was talking about. 

For as much as Bob shows off his panel here I was surprised he parked on the other side of the airport.  Probably better since his battery would be dead from all the demos :D

It's a great idea, I did the same thing to raise my RV4. Compared to the $12k Aero lift its worth the effort.

After looking at this picture of the last few years (and seeing it once in person), I think it is time for another Aspen and a GTN 650 to complement what you have.

Naw, that would be gilding the lily. Next money will be to copy Byron/Rebecca's new paint job. And before that I need to check out David's new cowl at Oshkosh.

Here you go. Just show your phone to the paint shop and they'll take care of it. Beware that Ferarra red is 1100$ a gallon.

I agree, especially the checkerboard on the tail...very nice. I noticed there's only one Com antenna on top...can both radios go through the same antenna?

Some are located on the bottom.

I'm only 25 miles away and STILL haven't seen 201EQ yet. The weather's been awful here for days! He put a LOT of work into the prep and I'm certain it looks even better in person!

That is just stunning. If a fast looking paint job could add a couple knots, it would be this one!

Well I am home from Texas where MooneyMax and Right Seat Ready! Were a bit hit.  As many of you have seen, DMax did a fabulous job with the 27plus pilots.  On the right seat side we had 12 registered and 8 actually attend.  What I love about teaching this safety seminar with Jan Maxwell is that our attendees usually have a "deer in the headlights" look at the beginning of our time together, and by the end they are much more confident and prepared.

An addition to this Right Seat Ready!  was that each participant got a 5-7 minute hands-on demo with an ATC controller.  Later we got the 231 down from the lift and all got to sit inside to quiz them about instruments, flight controls etc.

A trip to Mooney was a blast too.  It was fun to see old friends, and many of the stars of Boots on the Ground: the Men & Women who made Mooney. Seeing the Ultra on the line was fabulous. 

Right Seat Ready! will be offered in California's Orange County Airport September 10th.  We will be back in Texas for MAPA in October.  In October our RSRs will have a four hour seminar: two hours of instruction and two hours in the Red Bird Sim with an instructor.

DMax will offer another MooneyMax and we are also considering an East Coast appearance.

Hmmm... how hard can it be to strip off the aluminum skin, cut and re-weld a few tubes... a little fiberglass...  There just has to be an STC in here somewhere!!
