What weather tool do you use  for 48 hrs ahead ?  TAFs are good for 24hrs.

I'm using weather.com and yahoo weather but not ideal.

+1 on aviationweather.gov.  Go to Forecasts>Prog Charts>Surface and then up at the top there is a button that let's you progress through time.  Watch the valid time though.  The chart might say 48 hours, but it might be several hours old.  The valid time is when the forecast is good for.

These charts and the Qty. Precip charts are all collected in one place in Foreflight.

Weather 48 hours out is not all that accurate though, regardless of what source you use.

USAirnet is really good and a quick way to get the most important stats. I also use the MAV/MOS charts which you can find here:

http://www.nws.noaa.gov/mdl/forecast/graphics/MAV/

They are good graphical presentation of lots of different data that matter. Interestingly, these are the same charts that ForeFlight incorporated into their advanced weather briefing tools last  year.
