66E Super 21 Sun Visors

I have read the sun visor threads, and was wondering if anyone has found a solution.  I have the original ones in my plane and they don't stay up for even a half second.  The previous owner tried using Velcro to keep them up and that has failed and left circle marks on the windshield.

I have tried to get visors, but obviously have failed.  Not too much of a mechanical guy, but looking for a solution.

Do you have the ones with the horizontal rod connected to the center support bar? If so are any of the four split clamps broken? If not, get some shim stock, cut it with a scissors to fit inside the little clamps. Punch a hole for the screw to go through to hold it in place. cut it so it just wraps around the rod and doesn't fold all the way around to the other tab. This should tighten them up enough to hold them in place and still let them move.

They make some really small adel clamps that go around the fuel injector lines.  Properly tension they should work.  Pics would be helpful

I have a sun visor problem also - the clear plastic strip have broken that hold the rod to the visor
