According to the TCDS the speed changed from 100 to 125 starting with S/N 690001 for the M20E which was the 1969 model year and S/N 680001 for the M20C which was the 1968 model year.

Still wonder what prompted the change.  We should've asked Bill Wheat.

Having ability to extend flaps over 100 MPH?  That is nice improvement.

Getting close...

Flap I purchased to replace a functional but ever so slightly hanger rashed right flap...I pushed my plane back into hanger shortly after buying (winter/icy) and there were two vertical hanger supports if you went to deep you hit 'em...I did. :(

Totally cosmetic, but found a replacement flap for $350 after watching for a decade on EBay.  Sister visiting and after cousin picked up and took to her house sister put in van and delivered to hometown in Wisconsin via Arkansas...Picked up today (Fit in my Ford Fusion BARELY...Dropped off at A&P and opened up box.  Flap looks good.  Relief.  Soon to have a rash free bird for the first time in my ownership.

NICE.

Any issues with putting a 1963 C Flap on a 1966 E Model?

What's different?

Attach Point Hardware and shape of flap in-board.  Completely different integrated main attach point.  Good news is that I likely have a buyer for this very good condition right flap.  Oh well...
