New 4.0 Forums - Work in Progress

I've saw this a couple of times.  Notice the double pictures in the screenshot below.  

Yeah, I can tell you are on a mobile device (looks like ipad).  I think their mobile version still has some issues. 

This is a new complete remake of the IPBoard forums and they are probably going to need a few updates/patches before the glitches get worked out.

What is wrong with the galleries?  I was not aware anything was missing there.

I checked mine and one more. Each had one photo showing. Maybe some others can check their own, or others they know had multiple albums and photos, and see if they are still there.

I believe that one photo is your gallery cover photo.  If you click it you should see all in your gallery.  When I looked at yours I saw this:

Earlier, there was a tab for members, so one could locate someone to send a PM. It appears (perhaps due to my inability to figure it out) there is no way to locate someone now than to wait to see a post from them.

Am I wrong.

For some reason on the tapatalk app I am starting to get ghost messages in my inbox - inbox count saying "2" but nothing unread.  I'm going to file a bug report with them.

 

Any update on the sub forums issue?

Individual members' profiles and galleries seem to not be visible.  Am I missing something or are these aspects of the site being worked on?

i'm using an IPad to do this...

i clicked on your avatar. Went to the gallery tab and then selected the only gallery that was there. Selected the last photo in the gallery.

your avatar needs an update. There are a lot of nice photos in your gallery!

I clicked on his title 'M20F-1968'. The magic was automatic after that....

 

Otherwise, ... Oops,  I think I see the problem...

The Members tab seems to have gone on a walk-about!

Now how did that happen...?

The "Members" area was removed in the new version of the forum software.  Apparently this functionality is being taken out of many new forums because spammers "crawl" these lists and use them maliciously.  To go to a users profile you will have to click on their name in a post or some other linked area of the site.

Is there anyway to increase the size allowed in the files upload area? It is capped at 10 mb which is too small for many pdf files. I tried attaching files in the forums as well but it would not let me post a 12mb file even though the file limit at the bottom of the page says 53.7 MB.

There is no longer a "members" area or list like the old version had.  IPBoard removed this in 4.0 - they claim for security reasons as bots were scanning the list for bad reasons.  If you know all or part of a members name you can use the sitewide search feature at the top of the site.

You should be able to see members profiles by clicking on their name.  

Galleries are now referred to as "Albums" - if you go to any profile and click the grey tab that says "albums" you can get to the galleries.  Note that the first photo is by default your "album cover" and you need to click this to open the gallery/album.

There is no longer a limit on file sizes for the "Downloads" area.

There is no longer a limit on file sizes for the "Downloads" area.

The system truncates and corrupts the files when I try to upload them to the files area or directly in the forum.  It shows that it is fully uploaded and then as I try to submit the files they are reduced to half the size and corrupted.
