+1 on calling Brittain.  They're also extremely helpful and quite friendly!

They may send them out, but they usually have a decent selection for exchange if you're interested.

I think Brittain overhauls the pneumatic valve for the turn coordinator, and the actual instrument he sends it out.  In any case, I'd send it to Brittain so you get a complete overhaul of the entire sensor.

+1 on Brittain. I just sent them my turn coordinator last week, they couldn't overhaul it because it was too far gone and parts aren't available, but they sold me an exchange for $900. This was the newer model turn coordinator with the built in flag. Brittain has some of the best customer service I have ever dealt with. They overhauled my Accutrak and my BI-805 for less than $400 total.
