The site doesn't specify the airport, just the mailing address...

The second site I listed is an airport in the town as the mailing address.

So if somebody wanted to see what David and Jimmy have in stock, where would they fly into?

Or are they hiding from me?

Thanks again for all the response. From my discussion AllAmerican is at Kestrel Airpark just north of KSAT. I have never been in an altitude chamber but have been at flight safety twice a year since 2001. I am current in two different typed aircraft and while we cannot simulate true decompression via altitude chamber at least the newest KA 350 sims have smoke generators for quick Don practice. I have never had to fly on O2 as the (norm) but flight levels are at least a two or three day a week normal. Anyone reading have a turbo Mooney near Houston? I am willing to spend a very fair amount to see if Turbo Mooney flight is what I really need and if anyone wants KA 350 time I fly at least once a week and welcome anyone to come along. If you want some Citation time as long as you have a commercial multi and instrument we can do that as well as long as it is a 91 trip.

AAA has aircraft based out of Kestral Airpark (1T7) and a few at Boerne Stage (5C1). Both are just north of San Antonio. I live close by and see their planes from time to time . Let me know if I can be of any assistance. Ray

I have not visited AA since their move. But I would bet a lot of money that if you called them they would be glad to have you fly in to see them and/or see whatever plane you were interested in.

The runway at Kestrel slopes up dramatically at one end. Be careful if you decide to fly in there.

A K sounds about right. Jimmy, better than anyone, can give you an idea of fair market value. If you're looking for a 20% discount off on a good plane that Jimmy has then good luck!

Jimmy recently sold my very nice J in seven weeks at a fair price, that he and I set. The market is solid for good planes and you need to move quickly on one when you locate it. Bottom feeding is ill advised and you'll wind up with more problems than you bargained for.

I wasn't aware that 49GH was sold. Where is the new owner located?

Use caution when flying in to see AA...

Your wallet will be at risk. It will have a tendency to open itself at the sight of nice, available Mooneys...

I bought my Ovation while they were still in KSAT.

Excellent experience. No surprises, didn't want or need to sell.

Best regards,

I thought you traded up from a C. Did you sell that before you started shopping?

The C stopped flying...broke the engine mount, tanks were leaking and had a rust and water entry challenge... (Easy, low cost fixes, once you find MS)

Sold the C, took a year off from flying...

Got my head on straight, got my IR...

Found MooneySpace in it's early days while looking for Missile advice...

The economy was coming out of it's misery, Ovations were priced where old Js used to be.

Visited AAA while on a business trip in San Antonio. Bought the R. Took a month to close the deal with the PPI done at the nearby MSC. Financing supplied by AOPA/BoA. Insured by USAA/Falcon. Other than the first visit, everything else was done by telephone/email...

It's like being a Meatatarian, it takes a commitment!

Some other random acts of kindness introduced me to the 310HP / TopProp STC.

Life is a long road, if you're fortunate, have a plan...

Didnt know USAA insured aircraft. I am a USAA insured on everything else. How are their rates? Do they act as a broker or actually write the coverage?

USAA contracts with Falcon Insurance in Kerrville. Call 800-880-4545 and ask for Michael in USAA

Frank,

I used names I was familiar with.

Like Parker said, I called USAA, they sent me to Falcon. Falcon went to the next level...

In a similar fashion, AOPA doesn't write the loan, but it got taken care of properly by Bank of America.

Parker has a unique ability to explain aviation insurance with deep detail.

My style, using brand names I was familiar with, was to protect my investment. I was not ready to go directly to the service providers with the risk of the high cost of making a mistake...

Best regards,

I'll do that next year. I moved and went with Falcon this year, didn't know they had a USAA connection. Last time I checked (several years ago), they would insure my home, life, health, car, boat, motorcycle, ATV, personal watercraft, jewelry, computer, etc., but. to my airplane. So far, I like Falcon.

Thanks for the info. I will definitely give Falcon a call when it is time to renew. I have

insured through Aviation Solutions for the last few years and have been pretty happy with the premiums for smooth policies that they have shopped up for me. Never hurts to shop around, though.

Happy Holidays! Frank
