State your Useful Load/Full Fuel payload/max no reserve range

Scott started a thread similar to this one years ago in the vintage section. I wanted to take it a step further to see where we are as a group and individual models. So tell us your model, useful load, fuel capacity, payload and still air no reserve range.

1967 M20F

Useful: 1049lbs

Fuel capacity: 64gals useable (384lbs)

FF Payload: 665lbs

NR Range: 950nm (conservative estimate, I've never done more than 5.5hrs nonstop...

64 S35   , useful load 1250 , Fuel capacity 80 gals , FF payload 770 ,  Range = 900            65E , useful load 900 , fuel capacity 64 gals , FF payload 515 , range = 900

1990 M20M with TKS

useful 945lb (or 889lb with TKS tank full)

full fuel capacity 89 (on paper, but it's been known to hold 102)

ff payload 411

nr range (800nm)

ff IFR range 650nm (climb to FL180, fly at 195knots at 18.5gph, descent, go missed, go 100nm radius reserve, shoot an approach)

I never fly more than 500nm without a stop anyway

Real world useful load is if it fits, it will fly and climb at over 1000fpm ;-)

1977 M20J.
Useful load 951.
Fuel capacity 54.7 total, 320lbs.
Full fuel payload 651 lb.
NM range 685-875 with 10 gallon reserve and zero wind.

NM range 845-960 until dry. (both figured at 10GPH-155 ktas and 7.4GPH 130 ktas)

absolute max range 4.5 GPH 90 KTAS 12.1 hours 1,089 NM

Drag mods: Lasar dorsal fin, horizontal tail fairings, wheel well liners, aileron gap seals, hidden ELT antenna.
extra weight: Bladdders, King KN-61 DME, WX-1000 stormscope, KX-170B radios, beefed up cowl.. After getting a new GPS we can shed 20 lbs

Useful load. 965 lbs

Full fuel 130 gal.

Max range 1465

I generally do fly 5-6 hour legs. Which is why I had the Monroy tanks installed. Best purchase I have made

1978 M20J

Useful load: 960

Fuel capacity: 64 gallons/373 pounds (100LL is 5.82#/gallon, not 6 pounds)

FF payload: 587#

Theoretical max range (no reserve) -1.5 gal for STTO, climb to 9500' @110k, cruise at 9.3 GPH/155k: 994nm

Don't plan to fly more than about 600 - 650 without a pit stop.

What kind of power setting, speed and what kind of altitude?

Sorry, messed up measuring in Google Earth.

1100nm was the range (with IFR reserves) painted on the G1000 on my last trip from Denver to Cabo. FL180, 70LOP, 195KTAS, no wind.

On that day, according to the G1000, the tanks would have run dry just south of Puerto Vallarta, roughly 1200nm from Denver.

Fixed these figures in my original post.

Amazing...No LOP in Bravo at any decent power setting

1966 M20E with most 201 mods
Useful: 900 lbs
Fuel capacity: 52 gals usable (300 bs)
FF Payload: 600 lbs
NR Range: 800 @ Best Power; 900 @ LOP (I seldom fly more than a 4 hour leg = 600 nm no wind)

1977 J 2,740 gross - but operate at 2,900 in protest as I think it's a joke that the faa makes it cost prohibitive to STC early j's to the new 2,900 gross weight. Not starting a argument just my view. Legal useful 960 useful. 66 gallons actual full fuel so 564 useful when full 1041nm range at 9.2gph 155kts at 9,000ft. 1,302nm at 7.5gph at 148kts at FL170 At 2,900lbs (when DA is less than 5,000) 1,120lbs useful. 724 with full fuel.

Ya but you got to live with that funny looking tail with your heavy hauling S35! :)

1967 M20F

Useful load: 967lbs

Full fuel payload: 583lbs

Max no reserve range: 6.3hrs or 870nm in no wind

I do operate it with a useful load of 1039lbs though and thus a full fuel payload of 655lbs. In South Africa, our airplanes have to get a new weight & balance every 5 years and even though I did quite a few weight reducing exercises between the previous and last weighing sessions, my airplane gained 72lbs!! Before the last weigh in, I always operated it at the previous, higher empty weight and it performs perfectly well, under all circumstances.

So, if necessary, I load it up with 655lbs and that extra 70 odd lbs sometimes makes a huge difference.

1989 Bravo

U/L 1,006 lbs.

Max fuel: 106 gal.

Payload w/full fuel: 389 lbs. (using 5.82 lb/gal for 100 LL :D )

Usable fuel: 100 gal.

17,500' 15.5 gph 190KTAS (economy cruise)

Range w/o reserves but allowing for ground covered in climb: ~1145 nm

1980 M20K 231

Useful: 940 lbs

Fuel: 72 Useable 432 lbs

FF Payload: 508

NR Range: 957 NM

My normal flight planning is for 174 KTAS at 17500 and 13 gal/hr ROP at just under 75% power.

My limiting factor for LOP is a very high TIT so I can not even approach 70% when LOP.

While testing LOP, I can run at about 60% and 9.2 gal/hr and maybe 163 KTAS, Given those

numbers, I might get a theoretical 1271 NM and 7.8 hours.

The most that I have done in one flight was 805 NM and 5.3 hours. Jackson TN to Front Range Denver.

Had a bit of a headwind and dialed back the power a bit. Landed with about 12 gals remaining.

Useable range with reserves is really 800 NM to 1100 NM depending on power settings.
