isaacpr7 Posted December 29, 2013 Report Posted December 29, 2013 I am looking to upgrade to an insight G2 graphic engine monitor to use as a primary for EGT/CHT. I was wondering if there is anyone out there who has an old Insight GEM 600 series broken engine monitor that they will be getting rid off. I need an old broken one that I can use as a core so that I can upgrade to the G2 in order to get a discount. If anyone has a G2 already that they would like to sell, that would work too Quote
orionflt Posted December 29, 2013 Report Posted December 29, 2013 Check out the CGR-30 from electronics International, you may like that better then the GEM Quote
isaacpr7 Posted December 29, 2013 Author Report Posted December 29, 2013 That was my first thought based on a recommendation but the price tag seems a bit hefty for such a small display in my opinion. Quote
orionflt Posted December 30, 2013 Report Posted December 30, 2013 I have the MVP-50 and I love it. I do not have any issues reading the info being displayed, the display is larger but it is also displaying more info then the 30 meaning that the displayed info is roughly the same size on both. I agree that it is more expensive, but I love the idea of eliminating other gauges, or at least having a backup to compare readings. Quote
M016576 Posted December 30, 2013 Report Posted December 30, 2013 The more I see that cgr-30, the more I like it. It's on my short list for an engine monitor upgrade Quote
Awful_Charlie Posted December 30, 2013 Report Posted December 30, 2013 I have on old GEM610 that I removed for the JPI EDM800. It's over with Avionik Straubing - yours for whatever you can negotiate with them and shipping - Tel:+49-9429-94240 ask for Helmut Eckert Quote
