Cygnet Yokes on Vintage M20?

Has anyone on this forum used the Gygnet Wheel Adapter and Yokes on an M20?  I am seriously considering doing so.  The yokes are the same ones used on Bonanzas and Sierras.  LINK = http://www.cygnet-aero.com/

They look nice (black or leather covered) and the yoke grip cap easily can be customized to accept the PC valve.  (It already has PTT options.)  These are parts approved by PMA and could be put in on a Form 337.  Cygnet claims that several owners of older M20s have already done so.

The big advantage is that you don't need to replace the shaft, so the total cost is about $2500 less than the Mooney Factory option Plus a 50%  labor savings.  I figure a saving of about 3AMU, that could be put in the panel instead.

Thanks in advance if you have anything on this.

I don't have experience with their Wheel Adapter/Yokes (good luck with that), but I did purchase their S-Tec replacement trim switch-- their service is tops. Highly recommended company.

In the end, it proved unnecessary. I found a pair of J model yokes down in California for about the same money, and used them.

In the end, it proved unnecessary. I found a pair of J model yokes down in California for about the same money, and used them.   The Signet mod has been done before, and I was going to use the Field Approval from that installation as a basis.

My twist on it was to add a second electric PC override button on the right yoke, so a guest could have the advange of the PC and still not need to fight with it.  I can do that with the Mooney ones that I finally got.

I still think the mod would work well -- but no longer have a need. Regards, RFB
