steve s Posted Saturday at 05:37 PM Report Posted Saturday at 05:37 PM Moritz Guage question on vac pressure. Does anyone know where the line is to the gauge I am told these deteriorate over time. I looked behind the panel, but couldn't locate it to replace it.
skykrawler Posted Saturday at 07:00 PM Report Posted Saturday at 07:00 PM I might be useful to provide information regarding the model and year of your airplane.
Hank Posted Saturday at 09:36 PM Report Posted Saturday at 09:36 PM Mine comes from a T in the line above the oil filter and goes through the firewall. My gauge is at the top of the panel.
Fritz1 Posted Saturday at 10:48 PM Report Posted Saturday at 10:48 PM Think the vac line does not go to the Moritz but to a pressure transducer in the pilot footwell

My vac pressure reads 3 even before I start the engine and just stays at 3. someone on here suggested the line has probably deteriorated
kortopates Posted Sunday at 04:46 PM Report Posted Sunday at 04:46 PM Thanks I will take a look. You’re showing gauge error, regardless of what else may be wrong.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
N201MKTurbo Posted Sunday at 09:47 PM Report Posted Sunday at 09:47 PM I have an old Bendix Pioneer 2” vacuum gauge I bought on EBay for $10. It is my gold standard for checking vacuum. It is dead on accurate. I checked it against a mercury column at the instrument shop.

The transducer sits on top of the wheel well for anyone looking for it. There is a tee in the line behind the AI and the hose runs down to the transducer. Hope this helps someone else. It's a pain to get to and see what you are doing. Edited Sunday at 09:56 PM by steve s
