Dynon just received approval for their autopilot but only for the J and K.  I talked to them and they are not going to seek certification for any other Mooney models so now I’m trying to get my B6 working again.  We did a leak check on all of the servos and 3 out of the six leak.  I was able to repair one with a little pro seal and should be able to repair another.  The third one is beyond repair and I need to replace it.  Does anyone have a spare they would like to sell?  I talked with Kevin and he gave me the info for the company that can manufacture replacement parts but they have a minimum order of ten and I guess the cost is north of $2K.  Anyone interested on going in on some replacements?  These are for the ailerons and rudder servos.

I could be interested in a few….with 6 servos does that mean you have the elevator servos installed?

I’ve been trying to track one more down for myself…I’ve only been able to find one out in the wild so far.

Is that for new servos, or just new rubber boots to put on them? Shouldn't be hard to find several people to split an order, I'd like a couple new boots myself.

I have one extra spare seal or “boot” that was repaired with a rubber patch.  I wouldn’t mind having another new spare.

Yes, the elevator has two but they are larger than the aileron and rudder servos and are leak free.  The B6 has pitch/altitude hold.  If you count the step servo it would be 7.

That is just for the rubber boot.  I’ll contact the company Monday and see what they say.

Is the company Bellofram?

I might be interested in spare diaphragm. Keep in mind the step servo is different size then flight controls servos and harder to find the rubber boot.

Yes it is Bellofram in WV.  I’m waiting on a quote, should have it tomorrow.

Just FYI, there was thread about six months ago where another Mooney pilot was trying to round up enough interest to make the minimum buy.  You might be able to find that thread and POC.

I received the quote yesterday and, for a quantity of 10 the cost is $150.00 each plus $250.00 materials testing fee and a $250.00 handling fee due to the dollar amount being under their $2,500.00 minimum.  That would be $200.00 each plus whatever the shipping cost is.   If we were to buy 25 it drops to $$93.50 each with the materials fee and no handling fee.  The cost would be $103.50 each. For a qty of 50 it would drop to about $80.00 each.  Of course I don’t want to order 25 or 50 and get stuck holding on to a bunch of them.  It looks like there is enough interest for at least 10.  I have two that need replacing, one that has a patch and the fourth one works but I wouldn’t mind replacing all of thet and have new rubber all around so, I would take four.  PM me if you are interested and I’ll get a count.  I’m sure they will requote for any quantity over the 10 and the price will drop.  Having said all that, after my initial post, another member contacted me and has two actuators he is willing to part with but I’d like to have new rubber all around.  Just to follow up, these are for the aileron and rudder actuators not the elevator or step.

If by some chance you get enough interest for 25 at a cost of $103.50 each, I'll take three.  I have one new rudder seal installed this year and one patched spare in a box.  I really don't need any at the moment but having the additional spares would be nice.  I'm hoping Kevin Westbrook will overhaul my Turn Coordinator early next year (it's not responding to the DG heading input).

@DCarlton, @sdmideas, see above.

I sent a PM already for a full set.

Looks like I have firm comments for a qty of 10 at the qty 10 price and 5 additional if we can get the price down to the qty 25 price of $100/each.  I’ll call tomorrow and see what the price will be for 15 but I know it won’t reduce it down to $100/each.  I’ll repost the why 15 price tomorrow (if they will do it over the phone).  With the six week lead time (probably be more like 8 weeks) I’d like to get these on order ASAP.

There are servos on ebay right now with "or best offer"...Maybe worth throwing a bid for 150?  Ya never know.

Yes, I talked with them, he wants $200.00 each and he said the rubber was good but there is no indication how old it is.

I now have commitments for 14 and an addition 5 if the price the around the $100 mark.  They are giving me quantity 25 price for 20 ($102.75 each) so I'm going to go ahead and order a qty of 20.
