BDPetersen Posted May 22 Report Posted May 22 Pretty cool. I hope they use the atomic powered seaplane the strip had in the ‘50’s. Quote

GeeBee Posted May 22 Report Posted May 22 One of my great treasures as a child was my "Steve Canyon lunch box and thermos". I wish I still had it. My B-52 lunch box was pretty cool too. 1 Quote

My favorite was the pictures of fighters and bombers printed on the little square of paper glued on the end of every loaf of bread to hold the wrapper together.. Quote

Pinecone Posted May 23 Report Posted May 23 The whole series is also on Peacock streaming. Fun to watch. Some interesting real life footage. Quote
hammdo Posted May 23 Author Report Posted May 23 Free on Plex and YouTube, lots of options to view. The one episode where they show the hydrogen bomb drop was something… -Don Quote
N201MKTurbo Posted May 26 Report Posted May 26 I have been binge watching these. The first 5-6 episodes were pretty cool. After that it was just a soap opera with little flying. I think the AF lost the will to supply free flying time. Almost everything in the later episodes is just stock footage and static cockpit shots. With a few shots of actors in aircraft being towed on the ramp. Quote
hammdo Posted May 26 Author Report Posted May 26 Agree, kinda of sputtered but, still something to watch… -Don Quote
