Low cost transient tie downs in South Bay or Peninsula San Francisco area?

I'm planning to fly to the SF south bay area and saw tie downs cost $15/day at places like KSQL, KPAO, and KRHV. Anyone know of any more cost effective parking options in the area?  I'm thinking I'll be here around 2 weeks in mid to end of Dec.

You might try E16 where I think the tie down rate is $13 / night or $60 / mo, it is a bit further but might be worth the trip for the lower cost.

Wow that monthly rate is a lot less than RHV. Do you know if a transient airplane qualifies for that rate since the sheet implies the plane should be based at that airport for it?

I was at KRHV Friday and took this pic of their prices for you. This says Santa Clara county airports so it's unclear if these prices apply to both KRHV and E16 or just the former.28a2194015fb986e8f95fb3501d1ad8f.jpg

Unfortunately I'm not sure how they work that but if E16 would work for you it seems worth a call.

The person who managed the Santa Clara airports had been out sick, but finally got ahold of him today.  Looks like I'm good to be able to pay for the county-based aircraft rates there!

I'd be curious to know the last time they charged the blimp rate...

The terms "Low cost" and "San Franciso Bay Area" should probably not be in the same sentence. Everything is ^$#@&*^ expensive there.  Look at the bright side of the price you are getting - it is less than parking a car in most places in SF Bay area :)

Speaking of San Francisco Bay area airports:

We used a San Carlos KSQL for our trips to San Francisco and found it has reasonable price for fuel and tie down. Is there a 100LL available now? It seems Airnav.com doesn't show the price for some reason.

I haven’t heard of SQL stopping 100LL, just RHV and E16.  RHV and WVI now have G100UL available though so not completely without fueling options.

I use skyvector which isn't always accurate for prices, but is a decent gauge for relative prices among airports in an area.

It does show KSQL and KPAO with 100LL, with KPAO being a lot cheaper right now.

SQL doesn’t have fuel onsite, a truck comes from somewhere and fills up planes that request it, usually the next day.

Rabbit Aviation @ KSQL brings the fuel truck around within 15 minutes during regular hours.  I'm based there.  Call them on Unicom.  Fuel is priced mid-range for the area, particularly considering you don't have to pump it yourself.
