That is a Convair 240 converted to a "600" with Dart turboprop engines. Texas International Airways was called Trans -Texas Airlines prior to changing their name in 1969. The advertisement shows the Convair in "TTa" colors. In Texas International colors... Houston Intercontinental Airport (departedwings.com) Edited August 24, 2023 by 1980Mooney 2 1 Quote

Can you imagine wearing a suit getting into an un-airconditioned plane in hot, humid Houston? What a marketing imagination. This one is even better. An M20B Mark 21 - It looks like a clown car....how many more will be getting out? With plenty of briefcases and audit bags.... 3 Quote

As far as I know, all files (including images) are "owned" by the poster -- there are no files "owned" by the forum. BeechTalk has a huge archive of documents that are apparently curated by the admin, and not subject to the whim of the original poster. Quote

Somethings were lost when Mooneyspace changed web hosting platforms a while back. Also the new platform is much more limited in total file size so you have to dump some of your old attachments from time to time if you post much. Quote
