Intermittent I have a five to ten second delay in retracting the gear after the switch is in the up position. We have replaced both relays and was wondering if the switch itself might be the cause? Coming down is not a problem so far!

I had the exact same problem but in reverse, they wouldn’t go down, up is nice, down is mandatory :) I too replaced both relays

In mine it was the switch, I first “cleaned” the switch with De-Oxit contact cleaner which fixed the problem temporarily, but it did isolate the problem to the switch.

So I’d buy some De-Oxit, following the directions spray it into the switch and if you problem does go away order a switch. If it makes no difference then it’s not likely the switch and could be the A/S switch, if it is the A/S switch then I think pressing the red bypass button if you have one will instantly bring the gear up, and I think if it’s the A/S switch with the gear switch up, you will get a gear warning horn? At least I seem to remember that doing retract tests on jacks where of course the A/S switch is doing it’s job

The switch from Mooney even if you can get one is prohibitively expensive because it has the plastic wheel on it, this is the switch without the wheel, the ball looking end unscrews, mine was tough because it had red Loctite on it and then of course the plastic wheel just screws on where the ball end was removed, so be careful with the plastic wheel as I think it’s not readily available, although other aircraft seem to use very similar “wheels”

Note I’m not saying buy the switch from Amazon, but this pic does give the part number

Oh, mine is an 81 J model
