LFOD Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 For you guys with the cup holders on the center console. I was looking at some aircraft on ASO and it looks like they stick on and then flip up out of the way. Is this the case? If so, can anyone provide a part number or a substitute? Thanks. Quote
LFOD Posted September 6, 2009 Author Report Posted September 6, 2009 Thanks guys, but I found a replacement. Bought some foldable cup holders that screw into the center console. I will most likely just use velcro. Quote

GeorgePerry Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 Something that goes in an airplane, is useful, doesnt require a subscription, yellow tag, a&p to install or cost more than the average family car...I'm buying one! Quote
skyking Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 Great idea. PS: LFOD i think you have a typo in your saying ...dont you mean more so THAN the sea? russ Quote
Parker_Woodruff Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 So if I bring it to the FSDO for my CFI checkride, will it require a field approval? Quote

Piloto Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 You should also get the complementary pee bottle needed with the cup holders. José Quote
skyking Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 LFOD. didnt mean to correct ya. Just thought you may want to change it since it is your tag. Piloto: As for the Pee bottles, try a thing called a "piddle pack". I used it for the grandkids. russ Quote
LFOD Posted September 7, 2009 Author Report Posted September 7, 2009 No problem I couldn't get my thing into my message... Quote

LFOD Posted September 12, 2009 Author Report Posted September 12, 2009 Nothing like spending ten bucks to pretend you have a 600K plane with cup holders. Quote
GeorgePerry Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 I orderd a set. The cup holders in the link above only come in gray. I found them in black. Most boater/marine supply houses carry them Here's a link for black ones... http://www.discountmarinesupplies.com/product.cgi?product=101347&group=101318 Quote
DonMuncy Posted May 2, 2010 Report Posted May 2, 2010 I don't know about a J, but the K has room for one at the very bottom next to the co-pilot's knee. Don Quote
HopePilot Posted May 2, 2010 Report Posted May 2, 2010 If someone with a J installs these cupholders, could you please post a pic? I'd like to order them, but I'm not sure if we have room for one, or two... Quote
Cruiser Posted May 2, 2010 Report Posted May 2, 2010 In a J the endurance is beyond that of the bladder. No need for cup holders, they just make it worse. :>) Quote
Amelia Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 I bought one of the beige foldable cupholdlers from Amazon, screwed it onto the center console (?)just forward of the fuel selector in my 231. Works just fine, fits all size cups, folds out of the way. There was only room for one there, but it's just as well- favorite right-seater finds he's happier doing without on those 4.5 hour legs. fantom Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Anyone requiring a cupholder in my plane better enjoy walking..... Quote
Amelia Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Sure- be glad to, next time I'm out at the airport. Quote
Amelia Posted June 3, 2010 Report Posted June 3, 2010 Finally posted a photo of the cupholder I ordered from Amazon a few months back. At something like five bucks, it's the cheapest meaningful improvement to a Mooney interior ever! Quote
AggieMike88 Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 Quote: Parker_Woodruff Point me to these...I'd be happy with some cupholders... Quote
