Mooney Advice/Intro Colorado Springs

Mooniacs-

I am/was (short story below) a Cessna 182 owner, and given our situation with our 182 my family and I are looking at moving up. We are considering either a Bonanza or a Mooney, but I have zero knowledge or interaction with any Mooneys. I was hoping someone in the Colorado Springs or Denver area might be willing to chat and allow my wife and I to pop in a hangar and look at their Mooney.

Any help on our upgrade adventure would be much appreciated.

As for our 182, it was recently totaled while sitting in the hangar. Not the way I imagined or hoped to let go of our first family plane, but it happened. A member in one of the other T units had a fire and my plane received significant damage from the fire. As much as this broke our hearts to lose the plane, we decided it might be an opportunity to try something new. We are looking forward to starting our adventures up in something different (maybe a Mooney) in the near future.

I flew an M20F out of Denver for 6 years. It easily took my anywhere I wanted to go. COS is on the flat lands, but the Mooney will take you over the rocks with no problem.

We would be mostly flying in CO, UT, and MT, so it is great to hear it can clear the rocks!

Sorry to hear about the demise of your other bird...

Could be the opportunity you were looking for... (odd way to see things... always under a positive light here in NJ). 

Lets see if @gsxrpilot is around... He knows Mooneys really well, and has some recent Colorado experience...

And has been known to discuss them, recently, with people he doesn’t yet know...
