carusoam Posted November 3, 2020 Report Posted November 3, 2020 Hmmmm... Was that the Mooney-Mizer product of years past? I think he had a method of adding a trim tab to the elevator and powered it... Otherwise, investing in a new auto pilot may come with that skill... Possibly buying an old BK auto pilot may be a good way to make that happen as well... There are a few KAP and KFC APs coming to market... Best regards, -a- Quote
Dream to fly Posted November 3, 2020 Author Report Posted November 3, 2020 I think all I am needing is the small sprocket that is welded on the trim shaft. The rest is magic. I am sure a J model would fit. MY F is almost a J minus the cowling. Quote
Old Chub Posted November 3, 2020 Report Posted November 3, 2020 did you see the posting below from Dan Nephin. You may want to ask if the one he shows in his photos is 12 V. Warren Quote

Dream to fly Posted November 4, 2020 Author Report Posted November 4, 2020 You are jonesing for my junk a lot?So if I go with the gfc500 and want trim to be controlled by the AP then I need all that to make it work because Garmin doesn't include that???Sent from my E6910 using Tapatalk Quote
N201MKTurbo Posted November 4, 2020 Report Posted November 4, 2020 Not sure I want to give away my treasures. I actually have a complete C4 autopilot from a 79 231. I’m not sure I want to break it up. Quote

Aerodon Posted November 14, 2020 Report Posted November 14, 2020 Joe, The upper & lower sprockets and the chain are included in the GFC500 installation kit for the Mooney as far as I can see? Aerodon Quote
