Ordered one back in June when Lasar still had them. Just replaced this week.

Do they not have them anymore?  if not what is next best option?

A while back an MSer was producing owner supplied parts...

Probably a decade ago... before the plant opened again...

Possible a thread covers it... the thread will be covered in years of moss...   :)

I saw that LASAR no longer had them in stock. Are there any other options? I’d like to get mine replaced.

If they aren’t stock, they should be able to order them from Mooney.

See if @Sabremech has one of these blocks in his arsenal?

I don’t make these but I do have a new LASAR block in my airplane. I’m no longer going to make certified parts after the cowling. I will however make owner produced parts.

They wrote me a month or 2 ago, their guy who used to make them is retiring or something. They said they were seeking a new machine shop/"guy" to make them. No word on timeline.

Just heard back.  Lasar expects to have the latch castings back in stock in about a month.

Will they also have the up lock block? I have not been able to find that on their site.

still want the drawings/other supplier option for owner produced...

Glad they’re getting back into that though...

So, does the down block get more wear and tear?  After seeing everyone jump on these threads, I feel like I should get an extra set to put on the shelf.

Down lock gets all the wear and tear...

This occurs during all the time moving on the ground...

Not the sliding in and out when moving the gear up and down...

That’s forces of thousands of pounds all over the place related to the gear...

When flying... forces on the gear are pretty minimal.

See if there is ever a mention for lubrication in there...the part wears because there is no lube... Lube would be messy, dirt prone, and would get on clothing and interior parts...

I just saw my old 1963 M20C is being sold on EBAY due to gear collapsing after JBAR came out of down lock block on roll out after landing.  Makes me want to replace mine on my 67F.
