I love the idea...Looks great, my neighbor in the next hangar to me has one, looks like he love it.  I just don't love the price.

I've given great consideration to building an equivalent.  I think it would be possible, but I can't say that I have the time.

I use the Sidewinder for the PA46.  It has enough power to move that 4000# plane in and out.  
Compared to a small gas powered engine tug the Sidewinder price is comparable.  
I sold my Power Tow III once the Sidewinder proved itself.

For use in your own hangar, I like mine as well as any I have seen. To take with you on a trip; no. For plans, or to get me to make one for you, PM me.

I just designed and built one that has a turntable in it ( see the same named thread in the general Mooney section) that is if you are willing to build it, but you would need an old riding mower to use it to power it
