  1. I was able to locate the original Wraplock material and tool kit on eBay. It is quite a simple and effective method of clamping. Works great and last long time. Thank you all for the input. Regards, Bob
  2. I purchased new stratoflex brake lines from a reputable hose shop to replace my 30+ year-old lines. There are two locations along the landing gear where the brake line is secured with "wraplock" to the stucture (see attached photos). This clamping material appears to be no longer in production. Anyone care to share how they are securing their line in lieu of "wraplock"? Any feedback is much-appreciated. Bob - 1970 M20E
  3. Anyone care to share how many man-hours the shops are charging to change a set of engine mounts?
  4. The sumps are original to the aircraft, and no longer supported by Mooney. They require to be drilled out, and a patch is installed inside the tank to cover the holes. Then mounting hardware will be installed inside the tank to accommodate a newer style drain (that can be threaded out later without tank entry). Reference SB20-188A
  5. Sven: Thank you for the excellent dissertation. I am in the process of entering my right fuel tank to remove my original fuel sump drains, and install the newer style drain valves per SB20-188. Your posting has saved me a great deal of time in researching the methods to remove/replace the wing walk material that covers the tank panel. Many thanks, Bob K
  6. I need to replace the landing gear actuator housing bearing (201PP) that the screw jack feeds through into the gearbox. Does anyone have a part number of the spanner socket (or mechanical equivelent), required to extract the retainer nut that hold the bearing in place? The actuator is a 4196-00-1C. Photo attached, below. Any feedback is much-appreciated. Regards, Bob Kohler 1970 M20E
