carusoam Posted October 26, 2019 Report Posted October 26, 2019 Plane plastics for a near facsimile... +1 for updating to a ball vent... more work, but better result. Best regards, -a- Quote
N201MKTurbo Posted October 26, 2019 Report Posted October 26, 2019 I just upgraded to Wemacs and have the old vents for the overhead if that’s what you are looking for. Quote

carusoam Posted October 26, 2019 Report Posted October 26, 2019 Paging @Derrickearly... See Rich’s pics above. We might all be on a different page..? How new is your 76 F? there are two sources of outside air... 1) At the ceiling... airflow controlled by a knob, opening the scoop on the roof. Newer planes got a naca duct in the tail... 2) At the instrument panel. The cabin heat system is attached to this one... controlled via push/pull on the instrument panel... Older Mooneys got slide gates... slightly newer Mooneys got butterfly valves. Best regards, -a- Quote
Marauder Posted October 26, 2019 Report Posted October 26, 2019 Here is an image from the parts manual. I’m missing 38 and 39. I used one of these with an angled filler underneath to allow the airflow to point higher up. https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/plasticeyeball1.phpI’ll snap a picture tonight and show you. Yetti Posted October 26, 2019 Report Posted October 26, 2019 Oh the one on the console below the throttle quadrant. Are you handy fabricating things? There are a couple of people here that part out planes. Quote

Bats! I think that picture was taken before we converted the former ashtray covering plate for a mount for a removable mygoflight iPad mount. The mark was a centering X. Hank Posted October 27, 2019 Report Posted October 27, 2019 Wow, I'm impressed! A light illuminating the floor! Fancy . . . All my C has is two overhead heaters, which throw red light towards the panel as a side effect of the incandescent heating elements. Quote
Derrickearly Posted November 4, 2019 Author Report Posted November 4, 2019 Hopefully, this will work as an adapter for https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/largealumavblack.php 1 Quote

You may need to modify the vent adapter to angle the eyeball to get the coverage you want. Looking forward to the final product. Quote
