Nose Gear Bolt

I ran across this in the M20J Service and Maintenance Manual. I never saw it before and don't know if it's ever been done on my plane. I couldn't find it on the 50 hr/100 hr/Annual checklist. Does everyone do this? Clarence? @M20Doc

shops miss the SB items just because they do not look at them, that includes Mooney service centers. the other thing is if you start adding all the SB checks to the annuals the cost is going to jump significantly.

Yep, just completed my annual and just did this. But note a Mooney SB cuts down  the required torque substantially - I don't want to recall the amount incorrectly, but see the Mooney SB list for the proper torque - but I recall it being almost half of what my SM said originally. 

BTW, I don't do it every annual, about every other to make sure this isn't adding any slop.

I do this every annual. I also have the oversized nose bushing kit STC which has a different torque value from what’s in the maintenance manual
