DonMuncy Posted April 20, 2019 Report Posted April 20, 2019 I am gearing up to host what is becoming an annual event. I am looking at Saturday May 18 unless I find some problem with that date. It will be, get there around 11:00 AM, with lunch at about 12:00 at Delta Charlie's restaurant on the field at Dallas Executive (RBD). 5 Quote
MBDiagMan Posted April 20, 2019 Report Posted April 20, 2019 Great news Don! My birthday is the nineteenth, so hopefully the family doesn’t do anything that keeps me away. You have been a very gracious host for this event. Hope to see you there! 1 Quote
gsxrpilot Posted April 20, 2019 Report Posted April 20, 2019 I'm hoping to be there as well. It might be on the way north. I'll be moving the 252 to Denver on or about that time. 1 Quote
mike_elliott Posted April 20, 2019 Report Posted April 20, 2019 not promising, but might be able to drop in 1 Quote
Yetti Posted April 21, 2019 Report Posted April 21, 2019 Put on the calendar. Thanks for organizing Quote
nfonville Posted April 21, 2019 Report Posted April 21, 2019 I may be there as well. On my calendar. Quote
KSMooniac Posted May 3, 2019 Report Posted May 3, 2019 Wish I could make it this time but we've got a graduation to attend in CO so my Mooney will be going west instead of south...Sent from my LG-US996 using Tapatalk Quote
DonMuncy Posted May 7, 2019 Author Report Posted May 7, 2019 Just a reminder to all of the annual Dallas Executive Fly-in on Saturday May 18. Come in around 10 to 11:00. Eat about 12:00 at Delta Charlie's restaurant on the field. If you haven't responded, it would be helpful (no obligation) if you would let me know if you think the odds are good you may be coming (weather permitting), so I can keep the restaurant apprised of the expected number. dcrogers11 Posted May 8, 2019 Report Posted May 8, 2019 Hey Don, Just saw this. I'll try to be there. Was just thinking that we need to get some Saturday lunch trips going again. May 18th my B-day so I've got a free day. Don Quote
Greg252AY Posted May 9, 2019 Report Posted May 9, 2019 I airline into DFW on the morning of the 18th around 930am. If AA is on time I should be able to get to my plane in Denton and make it down for lunch. Quote

smccray Posted May 10, 2019 Report Posted May 10, 2019 I have a conflict on Saturday. Unfortunately I can't be there this year. Quote
DonMuncy Posted May 15, 2019 Author Report Posted May 15, 2019 Not looking good on the weather for Saturday. I will be there to socialize and eat with all that show up. Fly in, drive in, walk in, if you can. Don 1 Quote
MBDiagMan Posted May 16, 2019 Report Posted May 16, 2019 Don’t worry about weather Don. I say that because the kids are coming in this weekend for my birthday on Sunday. That means I won’t be able to make it. THAT in turn means that since I want to be there and can’t, the weather will straighten out and be fine. Isn't that some positive attitude logic? 2 1 Quote
Parker_Woodruff Posted May 18, 2019 Report Posted May 18, 2019 Hope and I will still plan to be there. Wish the WX would improve Quote
gsxrpilot Posted May 18, 2019 Report Posted May 18, 2019 Damn! It's not gonna work for me. Weather will keep us in Austin. Quote
DonMuncy Posted May 18, 2019 Author Report Posted May 18, 2019 It must be worse than I thought. I figured if anyone could fly in, it would be Paul. But Parker and I and hopefully a few others will think about all of you while we have lunch. 2 Quote
Yetti Posted May 18, 2019 Report Posted May 18, 2019 would violate one my three rules about flying through front lines. Trough lines or any other lines on the map. 1 Quote
gsxrpilot Posted May 18, 2019 Report Posted May 18, 2019 Well it's not entirely the weather. Although it's forecasted to be 100% chance of thunderstorms between here in and Dallas. JD has been doing some work on the Mooney and the last part, a few very specific washer's didn't come in yet. He offered to use other parts and put it back together for me so I could make the fly-in. But with the weather as forecasted, I told him not to bother and to fix it right on Monday. Quote
MBDiagMan Posted May 18, 2019 Report Posted May 18, 2019 If I didn’t have a house full of family, Sandy and I would be getting ready to fly there on four wheels with I30 as the runway. Wish I could be there Don. Quote
smccray Posted May 18, 2019 Report Posted May 18, 2019 Sorry I’m going to miss it. Sitting at love field- backup plan since flying north isn’t in the cards today. 11 hours ago, Yetti said: would violate one my three rules about flying through front lines. Dave Morris Posted May 18, 2019 Report Posted May 18, 2019 My plane is down for annual, but I'm driving in to socialize. 1 Quote
