mooneygirl Posted September 2, 2011 Author Report Posted September 2, 2011 We flew 1 hour 20 minutes from San Luis Obispo to Sacramento International to pick up my daughter. It was 96 degrees in Sac. Geez. Then on to Sutter Creek/Jackson Westover where it is about 96 degrees. [Already longing for my 75 degree Pismo weather!!] Mooney Ovation flew like a champ though. Quote
N9453V Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 I flew from BTR to RBD at last night to get the Mooney out before Tropical Storm Lee hit. I didn't get out till 1am because of the ASA CRJ-200 that landed with the left gear up (http://theadvocate.com/home/740523-79/airplanes-landing-gear-fails.html) and it took most of the night to get it off the runway and reopen the airport. On the plus side, I got cleared direct to RBD as soon as I called up Houston Center. Quote

carusoam Posted September 9, 2011 Report Posted September 9, 2011 We have a TFR over NYC. We will have to wait to fly up the Hudson River Corridor. ScottFI, The first place I flew after 9/11 (about 1 week later when professional sports resumed) was to see the Chiefs play the Giants at Arrowhead. It was mighty cordial of the Chiefs to surrender... -a- Quote
