Just yesterday I developed an issue with my KFC 150. I landed at Lagrange, fueled, and when I started back up the auto pilot  would go  partially through the self test and then shut down. The AHRS inop  light on my panel is also lit.  I pulled and reset the breaker, and the trim light  on the face of the auto pilot came back on. I pressed self test again, and it proceeded to go through part of the self test and then completely shut down. I repeated this process several times, and it does the same thing  partially going through the self test, and then completely shutting down to where the  unit cannot be turned back on without resetting the breaker. I am wondering if the  problem is a bad breaker.

Anyway, I would appreciate what thoughts folks have with regard to the potential causes for this. The auto pilot was working normally  for the first part of the day, and has never given me any problem.

Also,  is there a shop in the Atlanta  region that anyone has had a good experience with with respect to the repair of King auto pilot's?

Thanks in  advance for all suggestions and help!

Frank

Give Scotty Collins at Precision Avionics a call.  He's at 6a2 (griffin).  If he doesn't know these I'm sure he could give you a pointer to somewhere else.

Thanks, gave him a call and I'm heading down there tomorrow for some diagnostics. I understand they have all of the King  test equipment in  house, which should help.
