What is the piece on the face of the alternator and who makes it?  It's a great idea.

Well, I would recommend going to the Penn Yan website and getting a quote. It is an instant online quote once you click the boxes and specify which engine you have.

If you want it done right expect to pay for it.

Just went on their site, not a bad price at all!

Baffles look great! Where did they come from? Cost?

Those are from airforms they have a PMA for Mooney baffles. In my opinion they are better made them OEM. I bought the full set it was around  $1,500 for all of it. Those are powdered coated also vs bare aluminum.

They normally come with the silicone seals, but I needed them bare for my application.

Hello Clarence,

You are very observant! That part is part of the Lopresti STC for their cowling.

I have a penn yann overhaul that the previous owner did on my Saratoga in 2001. It was an original engine with almost 1900 hrs. Now has about 1350 hrs smoh and runs great.
