scottfromiowa Posted December 13, 2010 Report Posted December 13, 2010 Powder Coat on my "worn out" retractable step. I think the chrome looks pretty good...for paint. Quote
carusoam Posted December 13, 2010 Report Posted December 13, 2010 Scott, Nice idea, who did the work for you? -a- Quote
scottfromiowa Posted December 13, 2010 Author Report Posted December 13, 2010 Thanks. A local Cedar Rapids Co called Rainbow Paint & Blasting. They have ability to prep parts (bead/sand blast or other media) and specialize in one off's and custom work. Quote
74657 Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 Did they put a clearcoat over the chrome? Typically when I do metallics I always put a clearcoat over the top. The actual shine from that powder is actually aluminim powder. Quote
DrBill Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 Do you lube your retractable step ? If so, with what ? I searched the service manulal with no luck. Bill Quote
